The Company:

NextGen Healthcare is a leading provider of innovative ambulatory healthcare technology solutions that has been in the market for over 50 years.  Their comprehensive, integrated technology and services platform supports ambulatory and specialty practices of all sizes.

NextGen Healthcare is a long time CNBS customer where we recently completed an implementation of ePay, our web based SAP Accounts Receivable payment portal.

The Challenge:

NextGen Healthcare needed a solution to allow their customers to conveniently pay invoices online. This solution needed to integrate directly with their existing SAP system while also being flexible enough to handle their customized AR processes like autopay. In addition to an initial implementation, NextGen also needed a portal that would later support credit card surcharging as a second project phase..

The Solution:

After talking through NextGen Healthcare’s requirements and budget, ePAY was selected due to its affordable implementation cost, low subscription fee, and flexibility as a custom application. During the implementation project, requirements for over half a dozen custom enhancements were discussed and implemented specifically for NextGen.

The Results:

The first implementation phase launched smoothly in only three months, bringing a new level of self-service to NextGen Healthcare’s customers. The second phase saw a successful implementation of surcharging into ePAY, with ePAY being enhanced with new integrations to perform address validation and retrieve surcharging amounts, then disclosing them to users and accepting payments.
